Laser Hair Removal NHS
At our Clinics in London, Leeds, Liverpool, Bury and Altrincham we provide a free service for laser hair removal NHS consultations and any referral letters which need to be written to either your G.P. or the NHS Commissioners.
Many people including some doctors and consultants may be under the impression that funding for laser hair removal NHS falls under the category of cosmetic procedures and is therefore not accessible via the NHS. However under certain circumstances funding is provided via the NHS for the removal of unwanted hair growth for conditions such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) and Pilonidal Sinus.
Funding for many treatments including hair removal can be made available through the Exceptional Cases Criteria. This is a set of circumstances laid down by each Integrated Care Board or (ICB) which will state what will and will not be funded and under what circumstances. For example; certain medications may not routinely be available on the NHS but can be accessed under the Exceptional Cases Criteria. You can access your local (ICB) policy with regards to this on their website.
