When will I see results?

You will start to see results about two weeks after your very first treatment. Human hair grows in cycles. The hair follicles in any area of skin will be in different stages of the cycle at any given time. In order for us to kill the follicle we must heat and destroy the follicle when it is in its growing stage. Therefore, it will take several treatments for us to catch all of the follicles in the correct stage of growth to produce long term results. Treatment is generally scheduled every 4-6 weeks. How does laser work?

 

The light from the laser is absorbed into the dark colour in the hair shaft. This light is then trapped and generates heat. Consequently, this heat destroys the hair follicle. Once this is destroyed its capacity to regrow is nil. The amount of light and therefore heat is strictly governed by inherent safety measures which protect the surrounding skin. All lasers used at Cristianos are clinically proven to be safe and effective.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

There is a sensation associated with laser hair removal which most people describe as uncomfortable but worth it for the fantastic results. The experience is different for each individual, some body sites are also more sensitive than others. Treatment setting can be adjusted to the sensitivity of an individual client’s skin. It is common for clients to have initial anxieties, however the great thing is that your free test patch will allow you the opportunity to experience the sensation for yourself before you decide about having treatment.

Our prices quoted are per session and are determined by our overheads in terms of premises, equipment, staff and time investment. Although much of this work is behind the scenes, it shows through in the quality of treatment and care our clients receive.

Of course for any business time is money, the time invested in compliance with quality standards is directly proportionate to the end product, the provision of safe quality-assured treatment and care.

Costs for larger areas depend on the size and density of the hair growth in the area. We can give approx costs on request. At the consultation, we will assess the area/s and cost accordingly. For multiple areas, we offer a 20% discount on the entire treatment cost.

This will depend on the nature of your treatment. If you are suitable for laser hair removal no, we need the hair growth to be very short for treatment. If you are having electrolysis we will need just a few days of hair growths to work efficiently.

There is no medical evidence to say laser hair removal or electrolysis is dangerous to an unborn baby however we as a company prefers not to provide treatment during pregnancy.

Once the initial redness has subsided you are free to shave within a few hours of treatment should you need to.
