Gabs Testimonial for Hair Removal

Hair Removal Support

After years of living with excess dark hair on my face, I was finally diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome when I was only 18.

Being of very fair skin and a young woman, it was very hard to deal with my ever growing hair on my upper lip, chin sides and sides of face. I felt very embarrassed by this, as this wasn’t what any of my friends or women around me had to deal with. Yes, many dealt with excess hair in places and as women do complain about our eyebrows, leg hair or under arms however, none where going to get their faces waxed every 2/3 weeks.

I am a very confident person, yet the thought of someone being able to see black hairs on face in the shape of a beard left me scared, insecure and often in tears if anyone brought it up.

I had tried almost everything to help the situation. I tried multiple birth control pills to stop the hair growth (which I had a terrible reaction to), I waxed every few weeks to keep the hair at bay, and then when waxing would leave me with breakouts, I even started to get the hair threaded, (this was extremely painful). In the end I ended up going to a local laser clinic who promised 10 treatments of hair removal and it would be a thing of the past. This was very expensive but I was willing to do whatever it took. What I didn’t realise is there are different machines and different settings that need to be personalised to you in order to get the best results. As you can imagine, I was left very depressed when after 10 sessions for over 18 months, I was no better off.

By this time, I had now been shaving my face (for the laser treatment) and now had to shave my face at least twice a week. I became very depressed about the situation, as there seemed there was nothing anyone could do to help me.

We then heard about Cristianos Laser Clinic, and how they would personalise the treatment. To be honest I was very sceptical about the whole process, as I thought I had already had laser and it hadn’t worked.

I then met Kerry and she talked me through the entire process and how the machine has different setting and most clinics just leave it on the same setting for every person and that it isn’t a personalised treatment, and that is not how they do it at Cristianos. For the first time in years I felt hopeful that I could get my hair growth under control.

I have now been under treatment for about a year, and the difference incredible! I can barely put into words, how much this has changed my life. My hair growth has decreased immensely, and I am now only shaving once every 10 days to 2 weeks. The biggest thing is the fact that I no longer have to constantly worry about my hair growth on face, it is no longer a burden I carry everyday of my life, and that I something I never thought I would say. This treatment has been life changing!
